TL;DR: All your data stays on your device. We don't collect, store, or transmit any of your information. Period.
Screen Time Data
Rebalance uses Apple's Screen Time APIs (FamilyControls, DeviceActivity, ManagedSettings) to monitor app usage and apply shields.
- All data is processed locally on your device
- We do NOT collect, store, or transmit your usage data to any external servers
- We have NO access to which specific apps you use — Apple provides only opaque tokens
- We cannot see your browsing history, messages, or any app content
Data Stored on Your Device
The following data is stored locally on your device using Apple's secure App Groups container:
- App selection preferences (which apps are "productive" vs "scroll")
- Credit balance and transaction history
- Daily usage statistics
- Your settings and preferences
Data We Do NOT Collect
- Personal information (name, email, etc.)
- Account credentials
- Location data
- Device identifiers
- Any data sent to external servers
- Analytics or usage tracking
Third-Party Services
Rebalance does not use any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The app contains no ads and no tracking SDKs.
Data Security
All data is stored locally using Apple's secure App Groups container and is protected by your device's security features including encryption and your device passcode/Face ID/Touch ID.
Children's Privacy
Rebalance is designed for personal use by individuals managing their own screen time. The app does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
